We welcome babies into our infant classroom starting at the age of 6 weeks through 12 months and our toddlers shine in the next room from 12- 24 months.

Our Brilliant Curriculum

Our days are filled with activities that will help your child reach all of their developmental milestones through thoughtful interaction and play based activities. Your child’s first two years are a time of immense growth and we look forward to sharing all of these changes with your family.

Schedules

We recognize and appreciate that each infant and toddler is their own person. At Brilliant Beginnings we care for each child based on their own individual schedule. Rest assured, as your child’s first year progresses they will naturally fall into a more consistent routine.

Bottles and Meals

You may premake or bring in a can of formula for us to prepare.  For breast milk we ask parents to bring in a bottle labeled with your child’s name and date of which it was expressed. We are happy to keep an extra supply of frozen breastmilk in our freezer for your convenience.

When you are ready to have your little one transition from infant food to meals from our menu, we will follow your lead. Each month a menu will be sent home for you to highlight which items you are ready to add to your child’s diet. See more about our nutrition here (link to nutrition page). We do ask that you try food items at home at least 2 times before adding them to the list of approved food items at school. You know your child best and will want to watch for any intolerances that might make them uncomfortable!

Boisterous Behaviors

The transition from baby to toddler brings lots of excitement! And some frustrations. Each child’s own unique temperament will influence how they react to new situations and friends. As children start developing independence, sometimes challenging behaviors, like hitting or biting, form. We use kind and gentle redirection to help your child establish healthy social and emotional skills.
